Will be interesting if Skoda offer a retro fit on previous keyless entry as Ford have just announced a retro fit for previous fiestas and focus's fitted with the system with a nominal fee
I read that Ford will charge £70+ 0.9 hours labour. Unfortunately not an insignificant cost.

Re: Updated Skoda Connect app?

Is the remote locking/unlocking secure - do you still need the key to drive away ?

Re: Updated Skoda Connect app?

This app is an example of change for the sake of change. No new functionality just less intuitive menus. Wonder how many millions they wasted on that. They should focus instead on the very poor customer service received on issues such as - chrome trim pitting, door protector thingys, squeaky door ha...

Re: Rear brake pads and discs

To need new discs after 18k seems bad to me. I’ve got far more mileage than that on other cars. In fact my Santa Fe did 45k over 10 years and I had not changed the brakes before I sold it. A lot of local driving too.

Re: New Kessy security rating.

Anyone tried this? Does it really work? https://keylessprotector.com Old and grumpy - I think if you kept the key on you in the house if you move it won’t go to sleep which would defeat the object. But I guess you’d be expected to take the key out of your pocket once in the house and given cars are...

Re: New Kessy security rating.

This from Skoda. The author must have been to the same course as MPs, on how NOT to answer a question. A classic example of flimflam. Following coverage in the press this morning about the KESSY keyless access characteristic of some ŠKODA vehicles, we are keen to reassure you and your customers tha...

Re: Speedometer accuracy

Hi My speedo is consistently 2-3 mph above my tomtom satnav speed. I had exactly the same experience with my previous car, a Santa fe. Think it is car manufacturers being prudent. As a result i often drive 2-3 mph above speed limit through speed cameras and average speed camera stretches and have no...

Re: Losing DAB presets

I have had this happen once in 9 months. I haven’t had the sos fault....yet. I decided to program in just 3 or 4 stations second time round as it is a pain. I didn’t bother raising this with the dealer as it’s just a waste of time and I am sure Skoda will just deny it.
