Re: 'E' gearbox mode resets to 'D' on restart

I contacted Skoda UK about 6 months ago, the answer I got was that this was normal and expected behaviour and it was not a bug. I think someone on this post mentioned that theirs did not have this issue, so I assumed that the latest software may have addressed the issue. I was waiting for mine to go...

Re: Quality of paint finish

I am a bit anal about paintwork, so I thought it was just me being fussy, so interesting to hear that others have the same issue. I ended up rectifying this myself I did not want the dealership to make it worse. I used a light clay which made it mirror smooth. Finished off with a layer of wax afterw...

Re: 'E' gearbox mode resets to 'D' on restart

Page 251 in my manual has a note on fuel consumption, and nothing about driving modes. What I have found is on page 190 it has a picture of the drive selection screen with a description "Information on setting the currently selected mode". So this is not quite right since it shows Eco as the selecte...

Re: 'E' gearbox mode resets to 'D' on restart

I contacted Skoda UK about this and their response was that it is normal behaviour. I tried to point out that it looks more like a bug where Eco is the mode that is displayed on the selection page but the car is in fact in Normal mode, but they were not having any of it. They told me to refer to pag...

Re: DTUK Pedal box

Hi thanks for the post, I am this thinking of getting one of these and it is useful to know how simple it is to fit.
You mention a Brisky discount, where do I get that from?
Thanks

Re: 'E' gearbox mode resets to 'D' on restart

I have done a few more miles in Eco mode and am getting used to it. I have found that when it is coasting it rolls pretty well, and if do need it to do some engine braking then just dab the brake and it will engage in a suitable gear then start to slow using the engine - it will not coast again unti...

Re: Quality of paint finish

OK, thanks for the replies. It might be me, my wife says I am very fussy, but she does agree that it does feel rougher in parts. I'll pop back into the dealership to show them, I'll also check out the finish on the one in the showroom.

Colin - yes UK based, have updated profile now.

Quality of paint finish

I picked up my Petrol Blue Kodiaq last week. Over the weekend I put a dressing on the painted body parts to help protect them. Whilst doing that I noticed that the finish on the paint is quite poor in many places. By poor I mean rough to the touch. It only seems to be on areas that are off the main ...

Re: 'E' gearbox mode resets to 'D' on restart

Just picked up my Kodiaq this week. Very pleased with it so far. But this is one niggle that I have also found. Mine is exactly the same after switching to Eco mode it then resets to normal after a restart (indicated by the "D" in front of the gear number as opposed to "E"). The mode selector still ...
