The Skoda towbar connector comes with 4 slots (the connector hanging on the right on the picture below):

So this is the command for an auto-folding towbar. The towbar connector is on the left side of the car.

Re: DIY Towbar install with pics

Diesel 150 produces 340 Nm the 1.4tsi 250 Nm. Yes, but that's at the engine level, not the wheels. Because you have to factor in the longer gears of the TDI, to reduce pollution, and in the end you get the same torque vs speed, more or less, at the wheels level. With TDI higher wheel torque in 1st ...

You are going to tow with a 1.4 TSI? 1.4 TSI with 150hp, that's turbo + compressor and they can tow. I do not really plan to tow a caravan though. Just a trailer with mountain bikes mostly. Only has turbo. Right, my bad, that was a memories from older VW engines. Still, 150hp TSI should be marginal...

Re: DIY Towbar install with pics

So, here is my towbar installation documented and illustrated. You will need torx screwdrivers (at least 3 different sizes) maybe one able to access corners (unless you want to undo the rear wheels) and a socket wrench or equivalent, and preferably also a torque wrench. - First thing, we want to rem...

Re: Ordered 12th of October last year

And today is the day ! I got 4 free winter tires with aluminum wheels to compensate for 2 and a half months late I am pretty impressed by the 1,4 TSI 150 so far. It feels as powerful as my old diesel (120 hp) in the low turns and definitely much stronger after 2000. Actually the car feels lighter th...

The 1.5 TSI will likely be introduced at the same time as the other MY19 changes, week 22 (Monday 28th May 2018).
You mean for new orders or in the factory? My car is scheduled for week 23, so I wonder.
