Re: AIR CON

My SEL has been set to 19°C , auto and ac on since day one 24/7 365, same as my 2 previous Yetis, and I’ve never felt too hot or cold.
If you keep it selected to lo for any length of time the condenser will freeze up with ice and restrict air flow making it very inefficient.

Re: Battery Dead?

A VW Golf I had some years ago drained its battery over a 2 week period (on holiday) because I'd left on the interior motion sensor alarm. I'm assuming that the Kodiaq works in the same fashion, so I've taken to switching it during this Covid period. For the uninitiated, pressing the lock function ...

Re: Battery Dead?

Hi. Thing is the car has been sitting for only 6 days since coming home from my last shift... That seems a bit short to me if Im honest... I do have a factory fitted towbar and the only other thing plugged in would be the dash cam but struggling to see how that would drain the battery so quick... C...

Re: Fitting 4 Car Seats

Haven’t had the pleasure of having 4 child seats in the Kodiaq yet, only had 3 so far for the grandkids, but with another addition last month will need to attempt having 4 seats soon. When I’ve had the 3 grandkids in, 2 year old in isofix behind driver and 2 high back booster seats in row 3 for the ...

Re: Kodiaq Towbar electrics

So have you done any coding to extend the lamp out monitoring to include the trailer, to inhibit the rear fog lamp when trailer fitted, to change the flasher rate when trailer attached, to show the trailer on the PDC screen when reverse selected and to adapt the ECS when trailer attached? Also there...

Re: Dashcam fitted.... airbeg and sos fault

If your friend disconnected the airbag switch on the end of the dash and had the power on, or pulled and replaced the fuse for the air bag system by mistake , I believe you need a dealer or perhaps VCDS to reset the airbag system. The SOS fault may clear by itself or doing what old man did above. ht...

Re: Kessy Key Battery

Changed both of my KESSY fobs CR2032 batteries a month ago following these instructions with no problems. Pushing the battery cover off after releasing requires quite a bit of effort.

Re: Battery connection

Connect charger as per owners manual, +ve clip to the battery positive terminal and the -ve clip to point c in your picture. Don’t remove any bolts.
As above you shouldn’t need to use a charger.
