Re: My19 2.0 tsi user experiences?

Re: Factory tow-bar retrofit

I stand corrected, but I will not be using one, its a matter of choice, I prefer to change the wheel. If you were towing a 1500Kilo caravan, and the back tyre was full of Goo, and 100 plus miles to drive on the motorway, doing 50-60 mph, would you feel safe?

Re: My19 2.0 tsi user experiences?

My Kodiaq is the Diesel 190 DSG Auto, without going through the list of extras it has, I would have thought I generalising! most of the gadgets I will never use.

Re: Factory tow-bar retrofit

Tyre repair kit, from what I understand, if you have a puncture, you squirt the foam into the defective tyre, it will get you home, But cost you a new tyre?£200 plus. I suppose its the case of last resort. I prefer to change the wheel, get the tyre fixed back home, last puncture I had , they charged...

Re: Towing Caravan.

Now the engine loosening up a bit, the low mileage towing I think was because the engine only had 2800 on clock, now after 7500 miles getting 30+ mpg. That is towing a Elldis Avante, 1350kg.

Re: My19 2.0 tsi user experiences?

I have the 190 DSG all whistles and bells, almost all, it was a ex demo ,2800 on the clock, It now has 7500 in July 2 years old, I have owned it 19months. It is the first automatic I have owned, I love it. I bought it for pulling my caravan, it does it effortlessly , its very quiet, smooth, very qui...

Re: Real MPG!?

I have had my 190 DSG, for 18months now, covered 7500 miles, if I take it easy on a run, 45 to the gallon, pulling my caravan 30, mixed motoring 30-35. I bought it primarily to pull the caravan, we use my wife's Nissan Micra for a run about and I also have a 3Litre Scimitar, which gets a run out tim...

Re: Factory tow-bar retrofit

My Kodiaq 190 DSG 7 seater, came with the electric tow bar fitted, I use the vehicle to pull the caravan. Also it came with biscuit spare wheel, which is no good, if you are towing, if you have a flat, the biscuit is not legal. So I bought a full size wheel as the spare, it is to big to fit in the sp...

Re: Factory Fit Towbar & Alko Caravan Hitch

The hitchlock on my van is a Winterhof, similar to the Alco, I have not had any problems. The only thing is, that I always use the caravan motomover, to couple up, as there is no protector plate, prevening you hitting the bumper with the hitchlock.

Re: Towing Caravan.

I have just done 6500 miles, in the Kodiaq, and I am now getting just under 30 mpg. That is towing, pretty loaded down, 3 people and doing between 55-60 miles an hour, trying to us the cruise control as much as possible. So thats not to bad.
