Re: Door protection thingy. Gripped. UPDATE. Page 5.

I've seen the front plunger, although didn't know it was adjustable. That will effect the timing of the deployment and retraction. My problem, with one of the doors, is that when deployed the protector does not sit properly on the door edge. Anyone know of an adjustment for this? I have this issue,...

Not "pitiful rubbish"! Personal experience! No need to be derogatory. You have removed yours and so you have no actual experience of how they operate in real life. Removed because they did not work. Read the message. Refitted and failed again twice after dealer interaction. I would consider that re...

Re: Door protection thingy. Gripped. UPDATE. Page 5.

Nothing to do with “handbags” or “kids” these are pitiful rubbish. Appreciate many have not had issues but many have. I would argue this topic is one of the most discussed on the forum over the years. I have found they stick, do not retract repeatedly. I have removed and did so in the first week I h...

Also, remap detectable whatever. Box I believe is also detectable if looked for. Throws errors due to measured figures outside limits expected by software. Boost, fuelling etc.

Re: Racechip GTS

Bear in mind if you have a DSG the torque is limited on the TCU and possibly elsewhere. Even if you release 500NM the software will limit what you put to the road. I’ll be remapping when my warranty is up which will include the adjustment of torque limits too. Understand completely why you want to r...

Re: Hard to decide between Kodiaq and 5008

Easy decision, I have owned a Peugeot, it is French and you do not need to dig deep to realise the quality and reliability are not the same as the Kodiaq. I have owned one Peugeot, never again. I have owned 2 Skoda’s and would have a third. Personal experience.

Re: Kids threw rocks at my Kodiaq and dented bonnet

On balance, as annoying as this is if you go through insurance you will very likely be loaded with increased premiums. Likely the cost of premium increase for 5 years will exceed the cost of the repair many fold. I have had a similar situation to this, I would suggest finding a good reputable body s...

Re: Hello new to the Skoda world

I would suspect pretty much any car would feel plush suspension wise coming from a VXR :) Quite a change. Nice spec and colour. Like the crater wheels too. And you have some decent grunt with that diesel, well suited to the car.

Re: Connect and infotainment expiry

For me it is worth it. If you look at the renewal on the connect portal it lists clearly what elements the services provide. My view is that the car by design is built with connectivity in mind, you spend upwards of 30k on the car. Why quibble over £100. My view and appreciate everyone is different....
