Re: My experience of start/stop and ECO mode

Between 58-60mpg!!!! Wow. My average is 32, but then I turn off S/S straight away and drive without considering how much diesel I’m burning I guess. The main reason I turn off S/S is due to memories of driving as a young man in cars that weren’t always shall we say “reliable” and when you pulled up ...

Re: Just for fun. Age demographic of Kodiaq owners.

I bought this one for my wife as the “family” car, she tried everything and chose this over the discovery in the end as it fits more in the boot with all 7 seats up. We have 3 kids and a large dog. Plus a mother in law, so we all fit. We also used it to tow our trailer tent around France this year a...

37, semi retired and I like it that way.

Another poll should be hair colour, as I swear most Skoda drivers are grey or bald!

Re: MPG

My long term average (over 6000 miles) is 35mpg.
And that’s made up of:
School runs
Round town
And motorways at 80ish mph.

All in sport mode.

I’m more than happy with that for a two ton car.

Re: Don’t like the black cladding, opinions?

I’ve ordered a lower chin and lower rear bumper panel from the Sport in moon white for mine.
However as yet Skoda cannot get hold of one and cannot give me a price!

But as soon as parts are available they will book me in for a swap.

Re: Auto brakinging

Yeah it turns out maybe I like to stop a little too late and too close to cars in front!!
The Skodiaq has now taught me a couple of times by slamming on the brakes for me!

Mrs wasn’t too impressed as she thought it was me.

I’ll look into this setting thing. Lol.

Re: 3 child car seats in the 7 seater - does it work?

I have 3 kids and a Dog and Mother in Law to ferry about. We all fit fine in the K. Eldest child(7) has a Bubble Bum car seat (amazing and so much more comfortable) middle child(4) has a standard Graco thing and youngest is still in isofix rear facer. No issues with any fitting or space. When the MI...

Re: SIM cards and Data allowance

I ordered a free 3 data sim which gives you 200mb every month. I don’t intend to enable in-car wifi or google street view so 200 mb for just skoda connect and traffic updates felt reasonable. My data use in about 20 days with daily moderate driving is less than 70mb. Link for data sim https://www.t...

Re: SIM cards and Data allowance

I purchased a family BT sim for my bear. I know its pricey at £16 per month so after the 12 month contract I may look elsewhere. In the meantime in the one month I've had my bear I've eaten into nearly 4gb of my 20gb allowance. I have the bear setup as a Wi-Fi hotspot, 2 of my three girls have used...
