Re: 2nd Service, 12k Miles, rear disk Heavily Corroded

Had a minor repair on my 11/2017 Scout earlier this year and the discs and pads were checked "F and R pads OK" but "Rear Brake Discs Excessively Corroded possible warranty" and they were replaced early May under warranty.

Re: Aftermarket towbars

I had a Witter detachable swan neck towbar with dedicated electrics and fridge fitted in January for just over £700 Towbar comes with a lifetime warranty and the electrics with a 4 year warranty The caravan lights don't come on with the car switch at Auto (but work fine with sidelights) the towball ...

Re: Caravan Towing with a Kodiaq

Rather short experience of towing with my Scout but pulled the new van (2018 Swift Conqueror 580) when empty from the dealer home like a dream
Pleased with choice of car and van
Average mpg for the 20 mile trip 32-33mpg, when not towing get 45-50 mpg

Re: Quality of paint finish

Re: My Bear is One Month Old

Nice pictures, love those named mats!
Are you having the factory fitted towbar fitted by your Skoda dealer?
I was quoted over £1200 for it by my Skoda dealer so needless to say I am waiting for the Westfalia detachable to arrive early in 2018 for £700 or so

Re: towbar elecrics for fridge

That most certainly is crap! I took delivery of my car a few weeks back (it had already left the factory so no options fitted) and as I require a towbar and electrics to tow my caravan I asked my local Skoda dealer if they could retrofit the factory fitted version I was quoted a price of £848 inc VA...

Re: Hello

Enjoy the new car, I sympathise with the lack of front parking sensors as we bought my wife a 15 plate Beetle last year with all the options ticked on the list by the previous owner apart from front and rear sensors, nearly had my first heart attack when I asked the local VW garage for their price l...

Re: kodiaq

Hi I had an Octavia Estate 2litre diesel automatic for 5 years and took delivery of the Kodiaq Scout last month, as I am planning to get a 4 berth caravan early in 2018 that would be above the weight limit for the Octavia When towing, the DSG gearbox looks after everything, when driving down a steep...
