Re: Black magic problems

I've always had this problem with black cars which is why I opted for paint protection this time. No swirl marks after 16 months ownership using automatic car washes. It only takes 1 dodgy car wash! :( Worth speaking to a professional valet to get it back to its original sheen and add some paint pro...

I used to use it quite a bit and it’s a nice thing to have but I did think it was worth the money. All I can say now is that I don’t miss it.
Same for me.
Even at a reduced price, not worth it to me and rarely missed either.

Re: Moving to Skoda!

Depends entirely on your circumstances. Personally I am fine with adjusting my driving style to cope with (southern UK) bad weather, and use the factory fit tyres all year round.

For the 1 or 2 days a year a 4x4 would be of significant benefit to me, it does not justify the additional cost.

I would echo Pink72's comments.
Personally I always use a wireless USB mouse as those trackpads have caused me similar problems many a time!

Re: Whats you your favourite tip/ feature?

With such a big boot, I find the velcro load securing strips very useful (in spare wheel compartment).

Also in the boot, the removeable boot light doubles as a torch which again is quite handy. Just wish it was brighter!

Re: Mmm...dodgy voice recognition?

I only really use it for navigation. Bizarrely you need to give the address in reverse eg: "navigate to London, Downing Street, 10".
The you simply reply "yes" when it asks if it should start route guidance. Only if its recognised the address properly of course, which is about 50% of the time!

Re: Reversing camera video in the dark please

I also find the camera excellent in all conditions. As Colin says just a quick spray of the rear washer jet will clean it perfectly in a couple of seconds.
