Re: Dash Cam~ Hard wiring. Detailed instructions/suggestions!

Thanks for the advice chaps. It only took 45 minutes over two days to " wiggle " the friction opening bar out of the way and then it as all plain sailing . Chose to use fuse 45 as it had a spare lot beside it and plenty of space for the piggy back spade/fuse. Even used the fuse box fixing nut as the...

Re: Dash Cam~ Hard wiring. Detailed instructions/suggestions!

Hello All, Have been reading the existing entries here on Dash cam wiring ,All seem to miss the vital point of how to access the Fuse box / panel in the first instance. I have no problems with the connections as NextBase have provided a useful piggy back system for a fuse. Securely installing the ca...

Re: Best optional extra? Best accessory?

A good extra , if not essential would be a reliable Kessy system . Mine has failed to lock when you touch the correct door handle area, failed to unlock , so I have to use the fob. So much so I cant rely on it any more. Fortunately Skodie has never failed to start , but the boot has done the self un...

Panic off, ( see above @ 7pm ) have just checked the black Bear and he has a jack, wheel brace and a skinny / mickey / monkey wheel.
Check with your dealer / supplier . Mine was supplied by Rainworth Skoda , Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Re: Tailgate / Boot Remote Closing

Can "someone" in Skoda, come up with a safe Kessy system. Twice in two days now my Bears tailgate has opened without my knowledge. Both occasions I was stationary, BUT , I was in the house apx 30 yds away from the car. My mistake was to leave the Key Fob in my trouser pocket. The simple motion of si...

Re: Rear traffic alert and blind spot monitoring switching off

It sounds like the joys of getting the first of a brand new model of a car. No spares in the country so raid a showroom model. I had to wait over two weeks for a replacement windscreen following a row with a large flying stone. My insurance company use Autoglass and they really had to search high an...

Re: screen chip

Most Auto Glass depots here in the UK have the calibration kit, which is more than many Skoda Dealers do. Cant speak for any other Glass repair outfits. AUTO GLASS were fine for the fitting and calibration . It took 75 minutes on their site. The only hold up was getting a Skoda screen to replace it ...
