Reverse gear - clunk

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if someone could help me out by trying s little experiment.

I notice that when reversing I occasionally get the odd clunk from sound from the gearbox or drivetrain, but only when having to apply a fair amount of throttle to get the car moving. For example, my driveway is on an upward slope and there's a slight step at the bottom where if I reverse too slowly with light throttle, the car stops moving. I then apply more throttle to get the car over the step and that's when I hear the sound. It's not a loud sound and never happens during every day driving - it's literally only when I'm having to give the car say more throttle than normal and seemingly also when thrre is an obstacle that prevents free rotation of the wheels.

Possibly a trip to the dealer, but would welcome some thoughts from fellow Kodiaq owners and preferably from someone who is kind enough to pop out in their car to give it a try :)

Thanks

Danny

This appears to be normal. It's been discussed before and I've experienced it myself on the rare occasion I've had a hill to reverse back on.
I'm sure the electronic auto handbrake was given the blame for it and the "fix" might be to release the handbrake manually. Something like that anyway, hopefully someone that properly knows can confirm our tell me I'm talking nonsense.

If manoeuvre braking has been selected in the parking and manoeuvring menu then rear sensors could be detecting some object and applying the brakes.
I don't think the brakes come on until you're very very close. They stopped me no more than an inch from a lampost one day, along with a very loud beep like front assist gives you.
