I have just spoken to my dealer who confirms that my build date has gone from week 22 to week 33 i.e. delivery August/September. He says that the Factory has run out of 7 seats configuration, 2.00 TSI engines and DSG!! Any body else getting the same info or has my dealer sold my car to someone else?
Ordered 23rd February
Quartz grey Edition 2.00 TSI DSG with just about every extra.

Scrub1980, are you in Ireland?
I don't have indication of build week yet so I'm a bit more unsure. I was told when ordering on 8/4/17 that it would be end of August/September so it seems consistent to your new info. What dealer did you go with? Ive gone Anne's Williams near the Dublin airport.

Yes $kODA1ak I'm from Limerick buying off Frank Hogans, I've no build week either just told September is when they expect it but it sees garages don't have any idea especially with the factory closing for 2 weeks in july, it seems the demand was too much for skoda

My BW was 22 for about a month and then suddenly jumped out to BW 26, then back to BW23 for a week, then was locked in at BW23 at the end of BW20. It has taken 2 weeks to go through the factory, on the Thursday of BW24 it was at the final stage of production and about to leave the factory.

So I just have the wait for the train, port and transport in the UK. Dealer is hoping to handover in 2 weeks time, but I think they are being rather optimistic to say the least, I'm fully expecting it to be at least a week after that given some of the anecdotes about waits at the port and waits for transporters in the UK.

I ordered 5th Jan - Edition 2.0 TSi DSG 4x4 in Petrol Blue & Beige Leather, with a few options:
Dynamic chassis control including drive mode selection and off-road function (PF4)
Ventilated front seats (PHD)
Virtual pedal (PK9)
Heated windscreen (PKV)
Heated leather MFSW (PLD)
Adaptive cruise control (PLI)
Ambient lighting (PN3)
Park assist (PPA)
Travel assist (PWD)
Area view with rear LED lights high (PWG)
Heated washer nozzles for front windscreen (9T1)
Heated front and rear seats (4A4)
Sun visors with mirror, illuminated (5XH)
Textile floor mats (0TD)

I saw this a few weeks ago on twitter @SkodaNEWS

This doesn't make sense though. If it's the rear seats which are causing the problem, how comes that people who ordered their cars well later than me, still have a build week earlier than mine or have even already had theirs delivered? I've order mid-Feb and BW is currently 35, pushed back from 20

Your right it makes no sense.
Are you sure that your dealer didn't mess up and forget to put the order in or put it in later than mid-feb?
Have you ordered any unusual extras that could have put your build week back?

Has your dealer hit their quota? If so, your order will go nowhere for a while ...

From German forum (Google translated):

'Hello everybody,

I ordered my Kodiaq on 16 December and the AB already on 23.12. get. Ordered I have a style 140 kW, with a rather complete equipment. Complete is everything that could be ordered except: heater, heated rear seats, 3rd row of seats as well as - to be complete - cruise control only up to 160 km / h as well as smoking package. Color: Moonwhite pearl effect. Seats: leather Sports equipment. Non-binding delivery date: June 2017. RRP: Approximately 53 T €.

At my dealer I then asked times in March and in May, whether there is already information on the delivery time. He knew nothing. About two weeks ago I have become a little clear, because in June should be delivered. The seller (request by mail and telephone) did not reach or was not reached. Then, at the same time, I started a request to the Skoda customer service and the business management of my dealer. The replies then arrived quite coincidentally and made me stunned.

SKODA customer service:

"Good morning, Mr. XXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your confidence in the brand ŠKODA.

We are sorry that the delivery times are getting longer. At the moment, however, we can not give you a delivery date for 2017. We would like to explain the background: Before the introduction of the ŠKODA Kodiaq, a planning of the orders was carried out at the factory. But the demand for the new SUV was so great that production is currently lagging behind. With the huge number of orders before market launch was not counted.

A non-desired response is unpopular, we are aware of this. However, an honest approach is important to you.

Do you have anymore questions? We are always happy to help you.

Best regards

ŠKODA AUTO Germany GmbH "

SKODA Car Dealership Management:

"The current delivery situation at the KODIAQ is extremely tense and the demand is significantly higher than the available production capacities. As you have ordered the KODIAQ as one of the first customers as part of the advance sale, we hope, of course, that their trust advance in our brand, Model and our car house also bears fruit.

Unfortunately, it is in their case, however, that their vehicle will be given an expected delivery month February 2018 by SKODA. This diverges clearly to their desired delivery date June 2017.

We have done everything in our power. The vehicle was registered by us as a prioritized vehicle at SKODA and the order was made immediately after receipt of all documents. Currently, I can not currently broadcast any more pleasing news.

Sure, this is absolutely unsatisfying and depressing - but it can not be changed. "

Apart from "huge demand", no reasons for this blatant delivery delay were mentioned. Is something or everything wrong with my configuration (sports seat, DSG, Pano, engine)? Could I have ordered better later?

Thereupon, I have researched the Internet and have come across this forum to make this scandal - I believe this word is allowed to use in my case - to make public and ask if someone knows a similar case.

As far as I can see, my case is one for the Guinness Book of Records. If I can expect half-way right, I come to a delivery time of 14 months. In the former GDR, perhaps, this was still a reason for joy in the Trabants and Wartburgs, but at the present time something like this is an impertinence (and not an "unpopular" matter as Skoda thinks). Market economy. Or is the Kodiaq produced in hand? How can one as a (reputable?) Manufacturer so with the production capacities?

What do I do now: cancel the contract, to waste a half year of waiting time and write a doubtless beautiful car in the fireplace? I've been thinking about my order, and I've been waiting almost two months for the decision to arrive and ordered the bear in mid-December 2016. Or continue to wait in the hope that the delivery may still be pulled forward? Maybe maybe not? And when I cancel: Which old SUV then order? Q5 (new model), GLC and XC 60 (new model) - too expensive in the equipment I wanted, also as a demonstration car or young used vehicle. Koleos, Stelvio or CX-5 - well, actually is not what I wanted. And delivery times with other manufacturers there are, of course, also, if not such monstrous.

I am really downcast. And to all this: a financial damage is also created by this delivery time overshoot.

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to all those who already have their bear!'

I've been promised week 22, too, but it was moved to week 29. The production week is fixed now but can you reallly fix it 6 weeks in advance?

I don't buy it but I still hope for the best.

Otherwise I am going to choose something else because on the 14th August (7+ month later) I will be able to cancel the order and get my deposit back.

In the UK the build weeks are being advised as fixed 2 weeks in advance.

My dealer called me end Feb with a BW of 20, so didn't delay the order. Whether they hit their quota or not, I don't know but mine was one of the first orders from this dealership. Mind, they did tell me the other week that they are not allowed to order any more stock cars, only customer's orders at the moment. And yes, I have ordered quite a few extras, such as the dreaded sunroof, as well as it being an Edition. Still, if Skoda had confirmed this order by the end of February, which they have done, how can they now, 4 months later, say they've ran out? Such horrendous service.

At the end of Feb BW20 was a provisional BW. or in English, a random number generated by the order system.

There must be something on your order that is causing it to have pushed out to BW35, then again I ordered an Edition approx 6 weeks before you and ended up with BW23. They do seem to only be building so many Editions.

Log a case with Skoda Customer Services and get them to look in to it for you.

Activa said they would be contacting me 'later on today' to discuss delivery... and then didn't.

Fortunately, they shared the first name of the person who was going to call and I've found them on Activa's 'meet the team' page on their website (which also has each person's contact details... ) so sent them an enthusiastic chaser email which they'll get tomorrow morning...

Anticipation is killing me. Could be driving a new motor by the end of the week!
Hey same here. Should I get excited yet. It seems so long ago 3 May when I ordered.

You should absolutely be getting excited - its a great car to drive - though I suspect much of that depends on your previous cars... The Citroen C4GP set a fairly low bar for me! I waited 4 months for mine so, by that reckoning, you may get some excitement burn out ;)

Hi

Your BW story sounds almost identical to mine. Is yours out of the factory yet? Mine has got as far as the final stages of production too. My dealers says that there is a list of cars that will be delayed... and mine isn't on it!

Thanks

I'm in the dealers on Wednesday so will get an update then.

Thought I would call for an update today - it is still in the factory on Tuesday of BW25 - so much for BW23 .........
