I forwarded that Honest John page to my grandson who is a car salesman at the Ford agents in Wigston. I begged his forgiveness for gloating about Skoda. His boss once said to him, we'll have to get your grandad out of a Skoda and into a Ford. Grandson replied, "Aeronautical pigs will be seen before that happens!" He's a good lad!
Charming! I stated off at 17, as a 'grease monkey' in a garage.Does that make it better or worse? i ended up doing 21 years with Shell U.K. ending up as a Product Development Manager. Is that better?

Also four Skodas in the top ten "Most satisfying cars to drive". Superb Estate, Kodiaq, Superb hatch and Octavia hatch. Pointed that out to my grandson as well. 😄😄😄
Marshall Skoda in Leicester obviously didn't get the corporate memo, they are excellent. I have no complaints after six Skodas from them since 2003 when I retired from Ordnance Survey and lost my company car. Octavia, Octavia, Fabia, Superb, Rapid and Kodiaq. OS preferred company car is now Octavia , in my day it was Rover  , Vauxhall or Ford
We've just replaced the wife's Fabia with a Ford Grand Tourneo Connect 7 seater. She loves it and I must say i'm quite impressed.
For a van with windows it's really very nice and absolutely huge.
Honest John reports Kodiaq at number 2 in the list of the top 10 most comfortable cars.
