Has anyone bought one with the virtual cockpit yet. I placed my order yesterday and didn't realise this was an option and strongly considering adding it before build. Also are the acoustic front side windows with sunset glass worth a purchase either? Kodiaq Stlye 2WD 150 BHP DSG with adventurer pack, park assist, anthracite wheels.

Got mine yesterday with vc. I would choose virtual cockpit even if i did not have amundsen or columbus.

Thanks @SkodiaqDK. Why do you say that? But you think it's great right? Also is heated windscreen worth the spend? How long were you waiting for your car? I was told 8-10 weeks but think they might be spoofing!
9 months. But it should improve now all the kodiaqs has been wltp tested.

It just looks good and the way you can customise the info on the display is clever. Furthermore i'm sure almost all cars will get something similar In the near future, so when you one day are going to sell the car, i believe it is money well spend. When you have tried it, the former solution just seem outdated.

Thanks so much, great to know. Is the heated windscreen worth the investment?
I was happy with heated windscreen in my mondeo, and im sure it will be the same with kodiaq. I received the car thursday, and i park it inside my garage, so have not used it yet.

On my mondeo it was nice when/if i had "mist" on the inside. Sometimes it would take som time for the ac to remove it. It works better/faster with heated windscreen. That is my experience. Of course it is also good with ice, but I dont have ice on the windscreen that often.

I would say so, yes. I park on my drive and in the winter it's a god-send to have the heated screen over getting a scraper out! Works really well and thus far would say it works just as well as the one on my Land Rover Disco Sport, but the Skoda one is better because on the LR, you could see little wiggly wires in the glass and there were two elements, left and right, with a slight gap between them in the centre of the screen.

I do miss the heated steering wheel from the LR as well as my Kodiaq came without it...

Hope that helps!

I think I'll add it! What is blis that you have listed in your overview? Also do you know anything about the acoustic glass that you can add? Thanks for all your help
It is blind spot detection.

I did not get the option for acoustic glass, so unless it is in the car as standard, i can't tell you anything about it. The skoda catalogue for 2019 has still not been published. At least not in denmark. I think the car is very silent at speed below 100km/h. 140+ and there is more noise.

Here are a few photos of the virtual cockpit sorry the photos are not the best as it's a little dark now

On some of the screens you can configure the empty black areas to show different information and the centre section acts similar to the maxi dot display on other models except for the sat nav obviously

I think that last view with the combined rev counter/digital speedo in the centre of the digital dash is only on Sportline and vRS models - others models don't get that, only the other 4 views.

Awesome, thanks for the pictures, really happy that I've ordered the virtual cockpit as it looks great in the Kodiaq

Saw one today albeit on a Superb (slightly smaller screen) and it looked great, pity they won't allow me to order the car until April (another story). They claimed that all Kodiaqs now will be delivered within a maximum. 22 weeks. Not sure about that one.

I had a play with the virtual cockpit in a Karoq that was in the showroom when I bought my Kodiaq and thought it was excellent. Sadly my car doesn't have it, but would definitely specify it if I had the choice.

I got this. Not 100% same, but close. Or am i missing something? It is only the "carbon" design that is missing?

Hmm this forum does not like my pictures...

Oh, my bad - I'm sure I saw it mentioned somewhere on a review of the vRS. Maybe it's a UK thing, or (more likely) Skoda have just decided to include it on all models with the virtual cockpit as having different versions of software just isn't worth the expense for them.

I have had this on our Yeti, to me it is priceless and should be on all cars. My neighbor was up before us his car was idling to remove the ice, his screen was starting to defrost, I started the Yeti, hit the heated screen button, a few minutes later it was ready to drive, the neighbor was no where near ready..

It is great at removing frost from the outside and condensation from the inside. All my future cars will be spec'ed with this option even if this means it limits me on brand or model. But that's my opinion.

Images look great.

Can't decide if it's worth going for it yet on replacement car
until it's been out for a while to see if it is problem free!

Hopefully it's better and more reliable than other brands colleagues have with their screens locking or just blank and back to dealers.

Haven't seen any issues on the VW side
