Seems everyone is waiting! Post here your order date, build date if you have one, delivery day etc and eventually when you collect your car, might make the wait easier to see people actually picking up their cars!!

I ordered 2.0 TSI Sportline on 20th July. Waiting to have a build date assigned! Dealer estimated delivery on 31st October. I'm not feeling confident lol!!

Mine's per my signature. Pretty frustrating to know the thing is built, some time ago, but be at the mercy of Skoda logistics...

Deposit payed on 23rd May for a 1.4 SE l dsg only extra is leather seats (told it would be a 1.5) no build date yet but dealer still saying should just about get it last week in September and he is going to ring me in 2 weeks with update.

Ordered 19/6 2018. I have been told It will be built this week but not what day. Dealer said approx delivery in early September! Don't know if they still ship by ferry or go by mainland to Sweden so we will se how long the transportation will take.

Very frustrating to know it's built already but otherwise a pretty quick turnaround! Not long now!!

2.0 TSI Edition DSG ordered on 24th April. Originally told delivery on 30th June. Informed by email on the 4th May that it was assigned a chassis number and about to be produced. Fast forward 3 months and the truth is that as of yesterday my order is still Status 00, which means it doesn't even have a provisional build date. :(

That is terrible. Have they offered any explanation as to why it's taking so long? It seems some turn around fast and some take forever!

I'm guessing it has to do with ordering a Petrol. The engine changes on the Petrols is delaying alot, also depends on the buildingslots your country/dealer has. In Sweden they are not common yet so I think it will be faster from ordering - buildtime!

Got a SportLine on order as per signature, don't need until 7th Jan 2019 due to having a VW Tiguan on PCH until 7th Jan.
Ordered 10th July after being advised by VAG finance that my order could take upto 6 months!!

I had an order accepted 6th June, spec as per signature.
:( Still no info on build date

:? No firm info on what the towing limit will be and if it can pull our caravan

 Seems likely that we won't be registered in Sept so we lose £1k test-drive discount

:x If we want to tweak the spec, to add virtual cockpit which wasn't possible at time of ordering, seems we have to renegotiate the price of the whole car which with changing dealer discounts and price increase won't go in our favour either.

I didn't notice that the £1,000 test drive discount could be lost.

I've also requested that the virtual cockpit be added to the order pre-build and will be disappointed it that means a full renegotiation for the whole car.

This whole sucking situation just gets worse by the day.

Does anybody know a motoring journalist that would want to report on this situation ?

Just to share my experience, I ordered a tdi on 23rd May, told it would arrive end of Aug/ early sept, but no guarantees. Then in July I was told that it'd be build week 35 so unlikely for end of Sept. then on Tuesday the dealer called to say there was an additional 12 week delay. It wasn't even one of the contentious petrols - it was a 2.0 tdi SE L.

Anyway I found a stock vehicle on a great deal, just delivered to a dealer and I'm picking it up 1st sept. I cancelled the first order and got my deposit back.

I just ran out of patience and confidence that Skoda could deliver on any of their promises.

Ordered petrol Edition 4x4 on June 24. On July 30 got the week of production - 51!!! Subsequent inquiries revealed the delay is not due to options selection, but rather due to the new certification of the petrol engines. Now I am awaiting updated info if I switch to diesel engine.
P.S. I am in Bulgaria, btw.

Just had an email from dealer to say that my car (2 litre petrol Sportline) has an estimated build week of 42 (w/c 15 October). Might be worth others contacting their dealers for updates?

Do Skoda offer customers the ability to check progress online, or do you have to go via the dealer each time?

I've got somewhere with updates from the dealer now.

Seems we had a provisional build date of week 42, now revised back to week 37

The dealer indicated the towing limit impact shouldn't be too dramatic, maybe down to 1700kg which would be fine for us.

Dealer now doesn't anticipate this being a problem, the delay being on Skoda's side

This is the part that isn't resolved, we always wanted to add the digital dash, but the option didn't exist when we ordered. The option now exists, but it's £450 + the impact of more recent list price and discount changes on the whole car. We don't know exactly what the cost change is, but they're looking into it for us. I don't know what we could have done differently to make this work out, a bit frustrating we can't get the spec we want with the prices of the time we ordered.

Quick update....

I've just been sent an update from my dealer with a screen shot showing my order has the Virtual Cockpit added. So if your dealer is saying it can't be added to an existing order let them know it most certainly can.

I am a bit worried about the section of the screenshot that says WLTP-PROBLEM :?:

Mine says WLTP problem too. They did say they got an error message when they tried to add the virtual cockpit, but the main issue with it seems to be the price difference they say it introduces over and above the cost of the option, still talking about that with them though.

I got a call back from ŠKODA customer services today with a build date update (although I have actually cancelled that order now) they said that it was still slated for wk35 but that due to WLTP certifications being delayed, that delivery wouldn't be until mid November. Although this no longer applies to me, I thought that it might be useful for anyone in the dark at the moment or with a build date but no delivery date. The order was a 4x4 SEL 7 seat 2.0 tdi.

It's worth a call to them if you need to check your order timescales I reckon.

Mine's in the country, at least. Still awaiting confirmation of the handover, it's looking like next week; then we're straight off camping...

Hi there, first post from me. I ordered on 27th March 2018 with an 8 to 10 (possibly up to 12) week delivery (mid June) and I have just been informed by the dealer that I now have a build week 38 showing, giving a mid October delivery! It's a good car but is it really going to be worth that sort of wait?
